6 Months Old

Already? I know! Doesn't seem that long ago. Well being the punctual Mom that I am, I took Max to the doctor yesterday for his check up. He weighed 16 lbs 6 ozs  and is 27 inches long. He's moving on to size 6-9 month clothes. He will sit up for a second or two on his own, but mainly uses his hands to support himself. This past week he literally started sitting up in his bouncer. He'll also do this in his car seat, lifting his head to try to see what's going on. When he plays on the floor he does what I call the inchworm scoot. He'll push himself up with his arms, get on his knees and propels himself forward using his face. It doesn't look comfortable but he doesn't seem to mind. Max enjoys playing in his bouncer, listening to Baby Einstein and watching Yo Gabba Gabba, Jack's Big Music Show and Nanalan. We're looking forward to visiting family this weekend. See you soon!  J

Still Loving Bath Time!

Mike snapped this photo the other night when I was getting Max out of the tub.

Max Visits the Easter Bunny

I wanted to take Max to the mall to get his photo taken with the Easter Bunny, but when I saw how expensive it would be I said forget it. My Dad's union hosted an Easter celebration for the kiddies, so we went so I could get a free photo op. Alicia and Scarlett were in town so they came along with us and our parents. Scarlett was scared of the Easter Bunny and her photo showed her frightened look. I plopped Max on Mr. Bunny's lap and he didn't seem to care. I think he was more interested in checking everything else out. Oh well, I got my Easter Bunny picture to remember though.  J

Max Likes Kitties

Max loves the cats! Remus gives him the most attention. Whenever Max is playing on the blanket if he see the cats near by he'll coo or grunt to try to get their attention. Remus is our friendlier cat and likes to be pet by anyone. Max does a pretty good job petting the cats although occasionally he'll pull out some hair or grab one of their ears.  J
