Max's First Christmas!

Our first Christmas with Max was exhausting, but Max held up like a pro to the constant handling, late nights and loud Zimmermann family! We spent Christmas Eve at Aunt Jeanne's and Uncle Jim's. We played our usual pass games which are always loud, chaotic and a bunch of fun. Max didn't seem to mind but he did get a little crabby near the end of the evening. On Christmas morning we woke up and went to Mimi and Pawpaw's and had breakfast with Alicia, Scarlett, Zach, Duncan and Nona before opening gifts. After that we were off to Beth and Brian's to spend the rest of the day with Nana, Papa, Maddie, Ethan, Ellie, Doug, Kim and the twins Avery and Sydney. We were glad the twins were able to be there because this was their first outing. We had dinner, opened more gifts and played with the kids toys. On Friday we headed back over to the Miller's to visit Uncle Scott, Aunt Joyce, Devon and Madison who were able to make it and played more pass games. On Saturday we headed back over to the Zimmermann's for one of Pawpaw's fish fries and family games. The fish was great and I'm sure Pawpaw can't wait to teach Max how to go trout fishing! Then on Sunday we went to visit Nana and Papa and watched football and Noggin. So needless to say we're all pretty pooped! I'm sure Max is glad that we haven't had to be anywhere this week.

Splish Splash

Like Father, Like Son

Nana said the other day that I look so much like my Daddy that it's scary!

Silent Night

The last three out of four nights Max has slept for five to six hours at a time! Although not the whole night this is still considered sleeping through the night. We'll see if this continues... I'm so delighted that we'll be able to get more rest at night!  J

Mommy's First Night Out

Last Friday was my first night out with the girls. Christine and I went to Jessica's Pampered Chef party. Yes, very exciting! Well, Max and Mike must of had a conversation the night before because all Max did all day long was pout, cry and refused to take a nap. So, of course Max was perfectly wonderful for Mike the whole evening!  J

Happy Two Month Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Max's two month birthday by taking him to the doctor.  He weighed 11 pounds even and was 22 3/4 inches long. Dr. Mueller said he's growing like a champ! I asked her about Max always laying his head to the left side and she took a look at it. She said it was starting to get a little flat. So we have to work on wedging a blanket under him so he won't lay on that side all the time, but it's no big deal for now.
I can hardly believe it has already been two months! Max likes to smile a lot. I'm sure he'll be laughing soon. He coos but still likes to grunt as his primary form of communication. He very strong and likes to whip his head back, especially when I try to burp him which he despises. He still enjoys his baths until we have to pluck him out of the water. He's a little water baby!  J

Busy Busy

Wow it seems like we've been so busy lately! On Saturday evening Max had his first visit with the twin girls, Avery and Sydney, since they've been home. The Muresan girls aren't too much older than Max. It's going to be so fun to see how they interact when they're older.
Max and I went out to lunch with some girls from work, Pat and Danielle, on Tuesday and had his first visit with my former work buddies. Max was pretty good for the most part as long as I kept the stroller going. When I went into Macy's all the girls oohed and awed over him. It was great to see everyone I use to work with. I really enjoyed it. Someone asked if I missed working. I don't miss working; I miss all the gossip! And I miss you girls a bunch!
Max seems to be getting bigger and bigger everyday or should I say heavier and heavier! Mommy's arms are getting a work out! All he wants to do is eat all the time. Lately every two hours. I've noticed that some of his newborn clothes are starting to look quite tight and I've been pulling out some of his three months clothes for him to start wearing. I stepped on the scale the other day with him to get an idea of how much he weighs. Max weighs ten pounds now. He goes to the doctor for his two month check up on Tuesday, so we'll see how big he's getting.  J
