Main Street

After Max's appointment we decided to go to Main Street to enjoy the weather and have a picnic along the Riverfront. I also found a part time job at a new shoe boutique called Shoe La La and I start tomorrow! I can't wait it's been over two years since I worked last. J

2 Year Check Up

Max's official birthday was the 9th, so we took him for his checkup the following Monday. He's already 3 feet tall (88%) for his age and 30 lbs. Anyone want to start bets as of when Max will pass me up in height? ; ) J

Happy 2nd Birthday!

We celebrated Max and Scarlett's birthday on October 2nd. We had quite a large celebration! The entire Zimmermann clan was in town. Thanks to my parents for hosting the party and helping prepare the Italian feast. Also thanks to all my family and friends who were there to help us celebrate! J

Our Family Photo

This is our family photo we got done over a month ago. Ours turned out okay considering Max was tired, but most of the photos of Max, Scarlett and my parents were just BAD! We didn't even attempt to get one with both Max and Scarlett. Also notice the firm crotch grab I've got on Max : ) Haha!

"If I had a million boogers, I'd still pick you."

He really wasn't picking his nose. He was just realizing he could fit his finger up there. So I snapped a photo and find it quite funny that the top portion of his shirt says GOOD.

Happy Easter

We celebrated Easter at my parent's this year. The list of people who attended were Ronnie, Janet, Jackie, Greg, Jenifer, Jeanne, Jim, Johnny, Grandma Z, Marie, Tony my Mom's brother Ron and his wife Dawn, Zach, Allison, my parents and us three. So we had a full house with lots of good food. Check out my awesome Lemon-Raspberry cake, courtesy of Betty Crocker. We tried to let Max hunt for eggs but he wasn't to interested although he did collect a little garden gnome and put that in his basket. The weather was great so everyone spent most of their time sitting outside and relaxing. Jeanne took our family photo which turned out really nice.  J

I'm a Big Boy!!

So I've been wanting to give this potty training a try. I'm hoping if I start earlier it will be easier for him to get a hang of it. So we got Max his new potty chair on Saturday. We tried sitting him on it two different times, both attempts were unsuccessful but he sat on the potty for at least ten minutes each time which I thought was a great start. So on Easter Sunday before his bath I sat him on it and he went! Then later at my parents house he went again!! So far today we haven't had any successful attempts but we'll keep trying : )  J

I'm a Wild Boy

Max can't seem to get enough of climbing on the coffee table, most of the time he'll just sit down but occasionally he'll get really excited and start jumping or dancing around. Also he likes climbing and sitting on the back of the couch. Never a dull moment with Max.  J

My First Pair of Levi's

These are my first pair of Levi's. I'm glad my Mom gave them to me in time for Max to wear. These jeans are a slim size so whenever he wears them he's a little stiff legged, but they look so cute on him.

Our Visit to Boonville

Yesterday Max and I rode down to Boonville to drop off Scarlett with my parents. After lunch we took the kids to the park. Then we took a walk up to this lookout point where you could see Boon's Lick overlooking the Missouri River.

Best Fishes

I got two cake pans for Christmas from my Dad because he disliked the Bundt cake I made for my Mom's birthday. He wanted a yellow cake with chocolate icing. Did I make him a yellow cake, no I made him a cherry chocolate cake and did my best free hand attempt at drawing a trout. I was rather disappointed, must be the Virgo in me, but bottom line Dad liked it and said all it needed was a scoop of ice-cream.

Hey Mom Look at Me!!

This is only one example of his climbing abilities. He is shockingly very steady when he performs this balancing act. I've looked around and they offer tumbling classes for 18 month old, so we only have to wait a bit longer.

Toasted Ravioli

How about a break from my power blogging : ) So I have a recipe you're going to love Aunt Barb. I got it from a girl who works at The Old Spaghetti Factory, shhhh don't tell anyone. So simple to make too which is an added bonus.

*bag of frozen ravioli
*bread crumbs
*parsley
*Romano or Parmesan cheese
*salt
*eggs
*flour

Mix the bread crumbs, a Tablespoon of salt, 1/3 cup of parsley and 1/2 cup of Romano or Parmesan cheese. Dip the frozen ravioli in flour, eggs then bread crumbs. The OSF fries theirs, but you could also bake till golden brown. (Just have to thaw the ravioli first) Buon Appetito!

Going to Grandma's

Whenever Max and I visit we usually drop by for lunch. At this visit he wasn't even interested in eating. I could barely sit down to enjoy lunch, no surprise there! After lunch he actually sat in Grandma's lap for about ten minutes while she read to him. Grandma kept on saying to him, "Well, if you would just let me finish the page. " I was laughing she's lucky she got him to sit in her lap for a moment. J

Our Adventurous Little Devourer

Some pictures of Max eating mixed berries and pizza. I can't wait for the fruit stands to open up soon. Max loves to eat in general but really enjoys fruit. There's not much he won't eat. Hope that doesn't change! J

Maniac Max

Does he always have this much energy? Yes, yes and YES! Max's days usually consist of running around, chasing the cats, jumping around, climbing on the couch, messing up the rug in the kitchen, playing with the dish washer knobs and trying to figure out how to start it, setting off the oven alarm, a whole lot of climbing, turning the tv on and off, nibbling on his books when he's not looking at them, etc... For exercise I try to straighten up his toys as fast as possible while he goes behind me messing them up and I'll repeat until I give up. I asked my Mom if Zach had more energy then us girls and she said, "Yes, but not THAT much energy." Phyllis says Mike had the same amount of energy when he was little. On the bright side of things, he's still napping twice a day and is a very happy little guy. So I guess we couldn't ask for more. J
